the making of - inspiration of different collections

As we wrote in the previous post it is all about making the right choices and experimenting. For inspiration we went to textile and fabric stores on the Albert Cuyp market in Amsterdam. We wanted to see what is already there, with what can we experiment and what can we [re-]invent. It is all about finding the right items and putting them in the right context. Here are some of the items we were looking at.

Choosing the right items that we want to carry in our [workshop] feels like collecting art. All the pieces are independent yet they belong together. This makes the whole collection really united, homogeneous. Great example of such collection is exhibition in Kunst Hal in Rotterdam 'I promise to love you'. All the right items collected together, being independent but so in place next to one another.
